I Made $3.81 the First Month in Medium

….and the lessons I learned

Last month I had made a public declaration: “I will write and publish one article every working day of the week via publications in Medium.”

It has almost been a month now. So how did it all play out?

The Stats

I started writing and publishing in Medium’s metered paywall on Nov 10, 2020.

By the end of November 2020, I published 17 pieces (articles and poems) under six different publications. I spent 53 hours (total time spent on Medium that includes writing, reading, and engagement). On average I spent 1.75 hours per day.

I gained about 50 followers this month.

I earned $3.81. This means that I made $0.07 per hour.
