This morning I saw a banana comb, with a large flower blulb suspended underneath, in one of our banana trees.

Bees were busy. Tiny birds were trying to get their shots.

It has been ten months since we first planted this tree. Now it has given us fruits and flowers.

The banana flower is one of the most beautiful flowers that I know of. You can make curry out of it. Also, I have learned that this flower needs to be cut once it gets big enough, so the bananas can grow sweeter and faster. It is a way of diverting the energy of the tree into the fruits.

Surely, the ten-month wait was a sweet one.
