The Meaning of Focus
A reflection
Our senses catch on to all types of information. That information gives us all kinds of feelings and emotions.
The idea of focus could mean having a single target and negating the rest. But it could also mean churning all the other feelings and emotions and transmuting them towards the focal point.
For instance, I might get angry because someone did not keep up their end of the commitment. All that anger is available energy for me to use. A bit like the electrons that have spun out of their atom, and now are free radicals, reading to spring into action.
I could use that anger in so many ways. I could suppress it, only for it to come out subconsciously at a later point as misdirected anger. Or, I could also directly express that anger to the other person.
There is a third way — to use that anger to work on the main thing I am trying to achieve. Because all the energy is available, I can use it without much effort.
The trick is to decide where to use that energy.
